Dandy Garden suite and designer series paper with Dragonflies punch

Hello and welcome again to my blog.

Easter has come and gone. It was a lovely break with family and friends and I ran a class on Saturday to make these three cards in different colours with slightly different stamped backgrounds. I got my initial inspiration for the blue card from Gail Ellis.

The colours used (from left to right) were Bumblebee, Calypso Coral and Misty Moonlight which matched the designer series paper dragonflies. First we stamped the script from Very Versailles on each of the card fronts in slightly different places. Then using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, we stamped the Dandelion from the Garden Wishes stamp set and the tall daisy bunch of flowers from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set. On the Misty Moonlight version, we stamped both the script and the long bunch of leaves in Misty Moonlight ink.

The dragonflies were punched using the Dragonflies punch but we fussy cut the smaller dragonflies to go with the larger ones.

Using the blending brushes and the coordinating inks, I blended some colour around the edges of the card fronts. Notice I curled up a couple of the corners for some added interest and texture. The sentiments come from the same stamp sets.

The ribbons used (left to right again) are Fine Art ribbon, 1/4" crinkled seam white ribbon (coloured using the Calypso Coral Light Stampin' blend) and the 1/4" Misty Moonlight In Colour ribbon.

It was fun to see how different each of these colourways made the cards look.

I hope you like them. Please leave a comment, along with your name, if you don't mind. I would like to be able to say thank you.

The products used are shown below and if you'd like to order anything, just click on the image which will take you to my online shop.

Until next time...happy crafting.
