Bird card featuring Happy Holly-Days stamp set

This card is made using the bird from the Happy Holly-Days stamp set from the July-December 2021 mini catalogue. It's a Christmas stamp set but I decided to just use the bird, and the small sentiment stamp "for you".  

It shows that you don't always have to use a stamp set as originally intended.

I stamped the bird with Memento Tuxedo black ink and allowed it to dry thoroughly. Then I coloured it using ink and the smallest of the Water Painters. The inks used are Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Gray Granite, Real Red and Merry Merlot.

I die-cut the leaves from the In Good Taste DSP using the Forever Flourishing dies that co-ordinate with the Forever Fern stamp set. The background pieces were cut from the In Good Taste DSP with the join disguised using the Faux suede ribbon. To finish I added three Matte decorative dots.

The sentiment is stamped on a scrap of wood-finish paper from the In Good Taste DSP and mounted onto a scrap of Early Espresso cardstock.
