Another Corner Bouquet card

 

So this is the second version of my previous blog. Made in much the same way but this time I used Stampin' Write Markers to colour the stamp before putting it down onto the Whisper White cardstock top layer - don't forget to huff on it to reactivate the ink.

The card base is Flirty Flamingo, the second layer is also Flirty Flamingo which I distressed with my snips, I stamped onto a layer of Whisper White. 

The Stampin' Write colours I used were Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive and Just Jade. The flowers were coloured using So Saffron and Flirty Flamingo. 

The sentiment was stamped directly onto the piece above the Corner Bouquet. I  coloured the Whisper White Crinkle seam binding and the Whisper White twine with the dark Flirty Flamingo blender pen.

Corner Bouquet happy birthday card

 

It's been a long time since my last blog post - life just keeps getting in the way. 

This card is playing with a Sale-A-Bration stamp set called Corner Bouquet. I used the Fine Art Floral DSP and Just Jade ink to stamp the corner bouquet, then stamped the single flower from the set using Blackberry Bliss ink.

The card base is Just Jade to which I added a piece of Just Jade cut using the largest of the Stitched Rectangles dies. Instead of simply running the die through to the end, I stopped and turned it around to make the piece the right size to give a similar border all round. The sentiment is from the Happy Thoughts stamp set and is stamped in Just Jade ink.

I used the 1/4" crinkled seam binding ribbon and teamed it with the Whisper White twine, from the Snail Mail twine combo set, which I coloured using the dark Just Jade blender pen. I also coloured the Pearl basic jewels with the Dark Blackberry Bliss blender pen to add to the centre of a few of the stamped flowers.
